The Town Council Board has been very busy lining up speakers for all the upcoming meetings. In Febraury the topic will be Lake Hodges. Two guest speakers, Conrad Bownam, Resivoir Keeper, and Jim Fisher, Director of Operations and Maintenance, San Diego Water Authorit will present and answer questions. In March, we will have a beekeeper, explain how changes in habitat can effects others who share the habitat, in this case bees. April means Audubon Society of San Diego. The topic is The Long Journey: Marvels and Science of Bird Migration. This is an opportunity to learn more about the birds who travel vast distances to visit Lake Hodges. Save your CRV cans and bottles, and either drop them in the barrels at the Old Firehouse, or give Larry Kluey a ring, and he will pick up your deposit bottles. All money raised from the CRV bottles and cans goes to the upkeep and refurbishment of the firehouse. Call Larry at 760-480-8922.

Most beverages packaged in aluminum, glass, plastic and bi-metal containers are eligible for CRV. Exceptions are milk, wine and distilled spirits, which are not included in the CRV program.
